For some reason, many people are perfectly willing to work with less-than-stellar logistics companies.
With so many available from which to choose, why put up with anything less than the best? But, before you do that, make sure you fully analyze your situation so you know whether or not you’re working with a great company. Here are some signs you are working with a good company:
- You have the sense they are working in your best interest. Sometimes, you have no concrete proof a company is doing a poor job. And then, you get the sense that they aren’t doing such a great job. They are probably doing and saying things you don’t realize that a giving you that feeling. Ask them questions and gauge their reaction. If they aren’t willing to help, it’s time to move on.
- They respond to inquiries within 24 – 48 hours. If you have a company that responds within this time frame, they really do care about the service they are providing. If not, they may or may not care. Time will reveal their true motivation.
- Mistakes are promptly fixed. Every company is going to mess up and not do things quite right. What matters not so much is whether they mess up, but how they handle it afterwards. If they are resistant or blame someone else and do nothing, then it’s time to move on. If not, then you’ve found a winner!
